A Focus on Holistic Spiritual Care
The Spiritual Wellness Center, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit conceived through case study research on the topic “How to develop a holistic spiritual care curriculum that would engage the mind, heart, and soul of adults.” The research concluded that adults were receptive to a holistic approach to spiritual care, which includes the mind, heart, and soul in the discovery of purpose and meaning for life’s spiritual journey.
The curriculum is framed using Conceptualization, Personalization, and Utilization (CPU). This holistic learning concept was organized as The Spiritual Wellness Center, Inc. The Spiritual Wellness Center Inc. is a non-profit organization that customizes a curriculum for small groups in the local church, seminaries, healthcare, other non-profit organizations, and businesses. The training curriculum proposes four pathways. The first pathway leads to building your context, then personalizing the context to use as a tool for discovering purpose, meaning, and thereby setting attainable goals for your life journey. The fourth pathway integrates pathways 1-3. The curriculum’s pathways help individuals develop critical thinking habits which encourages individuals to reason, analyze, evaluate, make decision, and solve problems as it relates to their education, careers, and life decisions.
